After logging an email, the name of the Author or Recipient of the newly created message record is inaccurate, but the email address is accurate.

Possible Causes

  1. There are no entity records in NetSuite that have that email address.

    • Solution: Create a new entity record with the email address from the email.

    • Solution: Change the email address on an existing entity record to the one from the email.

  2. The entity type needed is not selected on the user’s profile.

    • Solution: Edit the user’s profile, and select the required entity type(s). (Image below)
